Amazing
UPDATED- My friends and S.O. are fine- none of them were in or near the plane that crashed.
That's an incredible tale on it's own, I'm sure. A special salute goes out to the crew of that aircraft. Normally, when you hear of a plane crash you hear of deaths. With this one, "There were no fatalities." Heck... some of these guys left that plane on their own two feet!
What's so special about the C 5? This plane is the size of two football fields and the tail end of the plane is SEVEN stories in the air. Trust me- this isn't my Daddy's Mooney! When you are standing at the base it will take your breath away. When it flies over your head you want to duck- even when it's 300 feet over your head and coming in for a landing. One of the fascinating facts I discovered about a C 5 is that the paint for this beast weighs TWO TONS before it's applied and that's just one coat from what I hear. Stand under the wings if you see one at a Military Base air show, you'll discover exactly how it gets off the ground and stays up. To see it in flight, especially low level maneuvers, you pray God won't cut the strings. This is a facinating aircraft to watch in flight.
I've got friends that brag about cars... Italian... German... Race cars... nah... THIS baby impresses me and THIS is an example of a highly trained crew that outperformed anything else on the planet. Great job, ladies and gentlemen! Glad you are still with us!!
Don't know about you guys... I don't care to hear, 'What went wrong'. I'm sure there is an incredible story about what went right! I know I can't be the only one impressed with "Huge plane smacks into the ground... snaps into pieces... everyone is alive."
Amazing
No question mark because there is not a question about whether it's amazing. However, there's no period and no exclamation point placed at the end. How do you punctuate "Wow..."?
