My Little Camera

I have lots of fun with my camera. It captures things that fascinate me and I take the little thing everywhere.

It's not a perfect camera but it works well. I do have the goal of getting a new one- a 'good one'- but not to replace this camera. This little work horse has been beaten up and it accompanies me when I am working. Never cast off an old friend!

I take pictures to 'prove' what I've seen. I went to see a meteor shower on the beach recently. I got the chance to make several wishes for the long life and happiness of my old friends or loves... but as I am staring up at the sky at 4 am, I almost missed a very spectacular sight under my feet. The pebbles were glistening in the surf of South Bowers Beach along the Delaware Bay and they were pretty, too. I stayed for the stunning sunrise. I used a notebook to capture my thoughts (It's hard to write by light of the flashlight!) and came home to finish out the work.

Some of these types of photos and poetry are going into my album right here. If you would like to use them as wall paper, don't edit them but I don't mind at all. I did mark some with my signature and the blog location, where the photo was taken, and the poetry inspired by the experience. Enjoy!
